Bahtalo Ederlezi!

Ederlezi-Djurdjevdan
Ederlezi or Djurdjevdan traditionally belongs to Roma this is the biggest, most joyful and oldest Roma holiday, over 600 years old.
As the nomadic people, Roma marked the end of winter and the beginning of spring with this holiday, so they started their queues, they went on the road again.
On that day Roma dress especially in form, jewelry is put on, Roma music is echoed and a Roma bike is dancing.
Homes are decorated with flowers and sprouted branches in the sign of welcoming spring, swimming in the water with flowers, and sometimes the walls of the house wash with water.
Usually on this day lamb eats.
Roma celebrate this holiday regardless of faith, whether they are Christians or members of the Islamic religion.
