A Reinterpretation of a Romani Anthem

The Romany Diamonds are a Polish Roma family band that’s part of the 300,000 strong Roma migrants diaspora that has made Britain their home. Brother and sister Ben and Cindy Czureja blend a deep knowledge of most traditional Eastern European Romani musical traditions with a love of flamenco, Manush Jazz, beat boxing and hip hop. In this recent reinterpretation of the Romani Anthem Gelem Gelem, Cindy and Ben turned it into a Romani Pride anthem for the Proud Roma Campaign.
