Al Jazeera reports on first Roma inclusion in UK Census

Middle eastern media network Al Jazeera has often reported on the plight of Romani communities in Europe, but as the UK approached it’s census in March it reported how the country had at long last included the community in its census programme. Although the results of the UK Census, completed on March 21st, will not be available for a while campaigners are hoping that many of the country’s 300,000 Roma will join the Britain’s 300,000 Romany Gypsies and Travellers in proudly declaring their true ethnic background.
